The Ox Chinese Zodiac Art Bundle
The Ox Chinese Zodiac Art Bundle is one of 12 animal-specific bundles in the Chinese Signs Collection. Each bundle pairs a Chinese zodiac animal with two complementary art-style interpretations — a traditional cultural reading and a cinematic photoreal one. The Ox bundle contains 48 print-ready digital files: 8 original designs (4 per style), each rendered in three aspect ratios and both PNG and JPG formats.
The two styles are designed to pair on a wall or to stand alone. The Chinese Animals series leans on classical visual language; the Hyper Realistic Chinese series leans on cinematic portraiture. Buyers don't pick one — the bundle includes both.
Built by Josh Studio LLC, a Kansas-based independent creative studio, publishes this zodiac art under its own name. Every design is original work — concepted, generated, curated, and finalized by a single founder.
What Makes the Ox, the Ox
- Element: Earth
- Yin/Yang: Yin
- Order in Zodiac: 2nd
- Years (most recent): 2021, 2009, 1997, 1985
- Compatible Trine: Ox, Snake, Rooster
The Ox is the 2nd animal in the Chinese zodiac cycle. Associated with the Earth element and Yin energy, the Ox represents diligence, dependability, and steady strength in Chinese tradition. Ox years run on a 12-year cycle — 2021, 2009, 1997, 1985, and so on. The Ox's compatible trine includes the Snake and Rooster.
Born in the Year of the Ox
The Ox would have won the Great Race outright if the Rat hadn't jumped off its back at the finish; it carried the Rat across the river and still placed second. The Ox is the second sign of the cycle, Yin in polarity and tied to the Earth element. Ox people are described as patient, dependable and quietly stubborn — the ones who finish what they start, prefer steady progress to shortcuts, and hold a household together.
Ox years and their elements: 1949 (Earth Ox), 1961 (Metal Ox), 1973 (Water Ox), 1985 (Wood Ox), 1997 (Fire Ox), 2009 (Earth Ox), 2021 (Metal Ox), 2033 (Water Ox). Lunar New Year falls in late January or February, so a January or early-February birthday usually belongs to the previous animal — check the exact date for your year.
Which signs is the Ox compatible with?
The Ox shares a trine with the Snake and Rooster — the traditional best matches for friendship, partnership and business. Its opposite on the wheel is the Goat, the pairing classical astrology treats as the most challenging (and the most interesting).
Who is this bundle for?
Gift-giving for a 1985, 1997 or 2009 birthday, a nursery for a 2021 baby, or a study that wants something grounded and steady above the desk. Every file is print-ready, and the license covers personal use and small print-on-demand runs.
The Two Art Styles in the Ox Bundle
